Reflections and evaluations
A running similarity throughout this photo shoot was, I believe, the lack of story which I will aim to improve in my official shoot
I like the mise-en-scene which was very empty due to lockdown and her clothes were somewhat suitable
However, I need to keep to my brief in providing a creative, attractive aesthetic and I would also choose a model who is more familiar with being photographed (since I just put this on Femi very last minute!)
I really like this image and want to use it as part of my website - I like the filter which provides a nice contrast between the sky and her hands - also communicates leftist ideology
I like this filter, though it may have been too harsh on her face. The mise-en-scene combined with her clothing (nike bag) creates a very youthful appeal although it's more working class than middle class so I need to try go outside comfort box\
Search for clothes which are trendy but more middle class taste
This photo, like the others is quite simplistic and I feel like I would only place this as an addition on my website
I'm also not sure if this filter was the best possible
I really liked the authenticity of this pose which I think was a combination of her sitting down and looking to the side, although I think direct mode of address can be more powerful
I felt this picture was somewhat powerful in the strength of the direct mode of address but it just isn't thoughtful or impacting as I would like it to be, for a front cover
Here, I was exploring with angles and so I used a low-angled shot which I'm not sure if I prefer to straight-angled shots
The strength of the filter might be considered off-putting?
Same as the other one, just a different filter which I still quite like due to the bright sky, making the colours pop
Summary:
1. Aim to construct a story and communicate a strong story
2. Allow the front cover to be thoughtful
3. Have flexible ideals about ways that models can pose and make them more comfortable
4. Don't go straight into shooting, have some time of practice first where you both can relax
